The Global Study Awards

  • The ISIC Association, StudyPortals and British Council IELTS are launching The Global Study Awards. The Global Study Awards recognises studying abroad as a positively life changing experience for many students, opening their minds to alternative ways of personal life and professional career, as well as promoting intercultural understanding and tolerance.
  • The winners will be selected based on how the students plan to make an impact on society, and improve their intercultural skills through their studies.

Scholarship amount:

  • An individual global study award has a maximum value of £10,000. The Award prize will be applied toward the cost of tuition fees in the first instance, paid directly to the Higher Education Institution that the successful candidate will attend.


Selection criteria:
The Global Study Awards will be offered to 9 students who will be starting their studies in 2016. From the eligible candidates the Global Study Awards holders should:

  • be 18 years or over
  • have taken an IELTS test at a British Council centre, and receive an official Test Report Form (TRF) issued by the British Council
  • have a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and/or International Youth Travel Card (IYTC)
  • plan to enrol on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme abroad between
  • 1 January 2016 and 30 April 2016 or 1 August 2016 and 31 October 2016
  • provide an acceptance letter from the relevant institution

Eligibility:

You will only be eligible to obtain a Radboud Scholarship if you:

  • hold a non-EU/EEA passport
  • are not eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee for other reasons
  • you have (will obtain) a Bachelor's degree achieved outside the Netherlands and have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands
  • have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master's degree programme starting September 1, 2016 as stated in the formal letter of admission
  • are able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands
  • are enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master's degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded

Deadlines:

  • Up to four awards will be granted in the first round: open from 15 August 2015 to 30 November 2015 for students starting their studies abroad between 1 January 2016 and 30 April 2016.
  • Up to five awards with be granted in the second round: open from 15 January 2016 to 30 June 2016 for students starting their studies abroad between 1 August 2016 and 31 October 2016.
