  • The Alberta MBA in International Business is designed to address managerial issues that are relevant to doing business across national boundaries while incorporating the necessary basics of business
  • Students begin by building a solid foundation in the first year of the MBA program, taking the same core courses as all other MBA students
  • In year two, International Business students would then be able to focus their studies on global business topics
  • Some of the topics covered include:
    • The impact of globalization
    • International differences in cultures, language, etc.
    • How to enter foreign markets
    • Competing with foreign companies entering domestic markets
    • Importing & exporting
    • Foreign direct investment
    • Exchange rates

Prepare documents for application

  • LOR:
    • Three letters of reference are required
    • Letters of reference should be obtained from current or past supervisors
  • CV:
    • Students need to include a resume with sufficient details of their professional work experience including months and years for each term of employment, full-time or part-time hours of work, and a brief description of employment duties
    • Education, volunteer experience(s), accomplishments achieved at work, and any extracurricular activities should also be highlighted
    • Students do not need to use the generic CV form

  • Statement of Intent-It should outline details around but not limited to the following:
    -Why you want to enter the program
    -What your career goals are
    -How the strengths of the program match your career goals and will support you in achieving them
    -What you will contribute towards the program
  • Transcripts or Marksheet
  • Degree Certificate in Original Language
  • Marksheet and Degree Certificate in English Translation (if original is not in English)
  • English Language proficiency scores
  • GMAT/GRE score
