One of the greatest challenges of science is to explain the workings of the human mind. Thanks to the use of revolutionary research methods applied to the study of the brain, the great progress made in behavioral research techniques, and the inventiveness and incredible sharpness of many researchers, the cognitive and neural sciences are finding ways to approximate you get better at this problem. The master's degree in Brain and Cognition will guide students through the most recent and exciting discoveries about the interaction between brain and cognitive research, from a theoretical and practical point of view, to become actively involved in this fascinating undertaking. The core of the master's degree is made up of research groups from the UPF's Center for the Brain and Cognition (CBC). which are led by well-known scientists in areas such as computational neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics, vision, multisensory perception, human development, and comparative cognition. Students will learn directly about current research projects at the CBC, and will be integrated into one of their main lines of research to develop original research for their final project.
