3. Tuition Fees and Application Process in Universities in Europe:

As mentioned at the outset, the governments of European countries are keen to follow a standardised, affordable and yet qualitative education to their students. In many places, the publicly funded Universities ask for no tuition fees at all, and at some places, they are nominal. For example, barring one University, all the public Universities in Germany have no tuition fees. Moreover, there are a number of fully funded study abroad scholarships and grants available for the students who want to apply for a scholarship to Study in Europe for free.

 

How to apply to European universities?

To Apply, Students normally have to register, or download the application form for the specific course on the respective website for the University. The applications are mostly chosen on some particular criteria such as merit based, experience based, minimum required marks and basis the application essays and SOPs.

 

4. Entrance and English Language Proficiency Tests:

There are a number of entrance exams you can sit for to be eligible for a particular program or University. Unlike many Universities in the world, Universities in Europe hardly ask for GRE test. However, you should contact the University you are applying to for all the admission requirements. GMAT Exam is required for management based programs, and some Universities have their own entrance exams.

 

IELTS and TOEFL are the main exams taken to prove English Language Proficiency in Europe. In many Universities in UK, France and Germany, you can study in Europe without IELTS. They have their own English Language Programs, or ask you to have your latest degree taught and examined in English.

5. Student Visa in Europe:

Applying for Student Visa is the most important step to your Study in Europe journey. All the countries will have their own requirements and parameters to grant a study visa. Most of them have a short-term visa for exchange students and a long-term visa with a residence permit for programs more than 3-9 months.

 

If you are willing to Study and work in Europe, you will most probably require having a separate work permit. However, as said earlier, the rules and conditions will change with countries.

 

Schengen Visa allows students a short-term visa to roam free in 22 EU countries. These are not allowed in United Kingdom, Romania, Ireland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Croatia.
