No, you can not get a study visa with such a low IELTS score. For studying an undergraduate degree in Canada you will need overall 6 bands and not less than 5.5 in any module and to study after graduate level which means masters in Canada you will require a minimum overall 6.5 bands and not less than 6 bands in any section. There are some provinces in Canada that provide the Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) which gives you the right to apply for a PR permit after completion of one year of study in Canada. Till that you can work within the campus and off-campus after 6-month full-time study. The provinces are Manitoba, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Ontario and Labrador.

The holders of Permanent resident have the right to get education for free up to 18 years of age in any public school system of Canada. But when it comes to higher education, tuition fees charged for permanent residents in Canada are less compared to students coming from other countries.

If your spouse or any other dependent wants to work while you study in Canada, they must apply for their own work permit. The spouse or partner of the international student can apply to get an open work permit. The holders of this permit will have the right to work in Canada and do not require any Labour Market Opinion or job offer. Your Spouse Permit will have the validity for the same period as your student is in Canada.

You can be sponsored to study in Canada by your spouse or common-law or conjugal partner, parents or any Canadian citizen. You can only be sponsored by relatives such a sister, brother, aunt or uncle only in specific conditions.

The Intakes are not categorised as such, however, the Fall or September Intake is the Primary Intake where all the universities offer all their courses. The Winter Intake is a secondary intake where students who have missed the fall intake can apply for a large number of courses.

Yes, you can get a work permit after study in Canada. You have 180 days after you get your results to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP). The validity of  PGWP depends on the length of your study program. If your program has completed within 8 months then you are not eligible for a work permit. Unfortunately, you cannot. Unlike Germany and Norway, the universities in Canada will have the fees for tuition along with other charges from the universities as usual. However, as we mentioned, the fees are quite low compared to the neighboring USA, and other English speaking countries.
