DFAT Scholarships

If you are an international student, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) scholarships and awards may financially support you whilst studying at RMIT.

The scholarships and awards value vary but may cover full tuition fees, a stipend, Introductory Academic Program, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and other expenses.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an international student
  • meet both the general eligibility criteria as well as specific eligibility criteria imposed by the Government of their country of citizenship.

RMIT University participates in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) scholarships. These Australian Government scholarships are available to students from many developing countries.

australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) are a bilateral aid program that aim to promote growth and stability in the Asia-Pacific region to contribute to the long-term development needs of Australia's partner countries.

The Australia Awards Leadership Program is supplementary to the Australia Awards Scholarships. Up to 200 outstanding Australia Awards Scholarship recipients across the globe will be offered a place in the Australia Awards Leadership Program in addition to their scholarship. The program brings awardees together in Australia for leadership training, development discussions and the chance to build valuable networks. The Australia Awards Leadership Program is supplementary to the Australia Awards Scholarships.
